Jan Aushadhi Yojana

• Pradhan Mantri Bhartiya Janaushadhi Pariyojana (PMBJP) is a programme launched by the Department of Pharmaceuticals under the Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers in 2008 by the name Jan Aushadi Campaign.
• Objective: to make generic medicines available and affordable to all.
• The scheme is implemented by the Pharmaceuticals & Medical Devices Bureau of India (PMBI)
• As part of the program, “Jan Aushadhi Week” will be celebrated across the country from 1st March to 7th March.
• 7th March will be celebrated the “Jan Aushadhi Diwas”
